Whew! What a week!

This is not from this week. But I didn't know if I had mentioned that Ayslin was now in soccer...or at least she was, her last soccer game is on Saturday.

She takes it very serious and is actually and surprisingly really good at it. I say surprisingly because Lynn and I seem to have two left feet when it comes to most sports.

Ayslin has now lost both of her front teeth and she got a dollar. I forgot and told her not to look under her pillow (oops) and this was all I had. At the rate she is losing teeth we're going to go broke giving out dollar bills.

Here is Ayslin's Halloween costume. She loves it and is really excited. Sorry for my lack of enthusiasm, but I am so tired. It's been a long day.

Here she is trying it on for me. Yeah, I might want to make sure it fits her duh. The problem was that she was in bed...asleep and it was my only day I could sew. Later we glued some flowers on the yarn hair.

Can I just say YEAH! That Lynn is done with his surgery rotation. I have barely been able to see him. Between my study hours (10 PM-1:30-ish AM) and his waking/working hours (4:30 AM-7:00 PM, give or take a few hours) we have been having the worst time scheduling family time. Lynn is about 70% sure he wants to go into Urology (I don't even know if that's how it's supposed to be spelled, but frankly, I am too tired).

Ayslin last Saturday. Lynn took her so that I could study, he's such a good Husband/Father/Daddy!

I have tried to have Ayslin get her clothes ready the night before school since it is quite the undertaking in the mornings (at least for her) and this is how she does it. Either that, or she lays it on the floor in the exact order she would wear it. It's pretty funny and I laugh every time I see it.

Lynn bought me these for our anniversary, yup, it was our anniversary on Sunday, but I had two tests today and I think I have one on Thursday. I say think because I can't remember if it is this week or the next, I've been too busy with the last two I had. Chemistry and Math. :/ Oy! We've been married for 7 years and I have to say that it has been the best years of my life!

It was also crazy hair day at school for Ayslin. She kept saying, "I don't want all the kids to laugh at me, I don't want to have crazy hair". I had to keep telling her that everyone was going to do it, however, I am going to have to un-tell her this a few years down the road. Does anyone else see the mixed messages I give my kid?

Later was her award ceremony and she was really worried about wearing her hair like that so I took it down and it looked like this. I thought it was funny, she did not. I still do. she still does not...she was mad. That's partly what makes this picture so great.

Her stuff was in the washer so no uniform, darn. They got their medals and got to meet some of the players from the University.

This is one of the players on the women's soccer team. We might go to a game this Sunday. Although it has been a while since we have been to church and Ayslin asked me in the car on the way if we could start going to church again. Uh, bad parenting moment right there.

We took Ayslin to a "trunk or treat" in town and it was COLD, but she insisted that she didn't feel a thing with her chiffon-ish sleeves. They were too pretty to put a coat over, at least that's what she thinks. You should see the looks this kid makes and the poses...oh, the poses! This is her friend from school. I forgot her name, but it is one of the names off of Ayslin's Barbie princess movies and Ayslin thinks it is SO beautiful.

They had fun together! Now, I need some sleep.

It's Fall over here and we Love it!

This has to be super quick because I have homework and I am working out (P90X) Blah,

So, I didn't buy school pictures, I thought they were a rip off and they looked like crap. Now I am no photographer, I'll be the first to admit, I'm not even an amateur...I like to think aspiring?...anyway, Ayslin felt a little bad so I told her I would take some this week. So these are a few that I liked. If you take enough, you're bound to get a couple good shots right?

We also went to a local Park that is so pretty right now with the colors changing. Lynn had to work at the hospital so we were on our own, but Ayslin took a few of me, I took a few of her and the self timer took a few. Ayslin is not too bad, though most of the one's she took weren't focused on what she was trying to capture. Here are a bunch of photos from our beautiful fall.

Ayslin with her burned hand all bandaged up. :( My poor baby.

Here's her leg a couple of weeks ago it looks much better now, not completely better, but a lot more than this picture.

I am allergic to the adhesive on tape and Ayslin recently developed an allergy to it as well so we had to leave the bandages off of it. However, it was mostly scabbed over by the time we took them off permanently. I first noticed when I took off her bandage one night (we changed them every morning and night) and she said it was itching and she had little blisters all over where the tape had been.

Her hand was a much worse burn so we are just now taking off the bandages sometimes to let it air out a bit. We still use tape when we cover it we just make sure it's only on the wrap and not on her skin.

The first day of school was so exciting for her, she rides the bus (even though we live less than a mile from it....?) She likes to bring lunches and when I asked her if she wanted hot lunch she said no because it stinks. I love packing her lunches anyway because she thinks it is pretty special.

It was Lynn's birthday a couple of weeks ago and we finally went out on a date!!! We went out to eat and to a movie. it was so nice to get out.

The next day I made him his favorite cake ( a banana cream pie) I didn't put enough candles on it though because I didn't want to melt the pie. So now he's OLD!!!

When Ayslin was one and a half she burned her hand on a water purifier. She had third degree burns and we had to cut the skin off using scissors every morning and night so that she wouldn't end up with a lot of scar tissue. this is a picture of Lorinda tightly holding her hand so that I could do it. Lorinda wouldn't hold her down at first because it was too difficult for her to see it, but I made her since Lynn wasn't there and he usually helped me. This picture is with the burn cream on so it actually looks a little bit better.

Here she is all bandaged up. When we gave her her first haircut she screamed and screamed because she thought we were going to cut her with the scissors...isn't that what we do with them after all?

Ayslin lost another tooth recently and we cut her hair finally. She allowed us to after a little coercion from me (she wanted hair as long as repunzle...uh, no.

Well, this past weekend we went camping with some of our friends and it happened again, on the same hand as before. I got the hotdog/marshmallow so hot that marshmallows were melting off of it. I decided to put it up so that no one would trip on it and get burned. The problem was I put it on the bench of the picnic table and it was dark. Ayslin got on it right after that burning her bare knee (I usually don't let her wear shorts, but I did this time, mistake). SInce her knee was burnt she put her hand down trying to move her knee and in turn burned it too. Then since her hand was burned she pulled it away and her leg landed on it again. I felt/feel so bad. They actually look pretty good here compared to now (even though they are healing a lot). We are trying to keep them really clean and covered to keep her from getting infection and so far so good. My poor baby. :(

In other news we went to her kindergarten meeting today to see how things work and Ayslin is SOoooo excited.

Summertime Fun (Warning picture Overload)

We have been trying to teach Ayslin to ride her bike...

However, yesterday we realized that she is content to let us hold her up so Lynn rigged up her bike with some towels and made her do it by herself a for a few hours. I'll post more pics of that later.

I also took Ayslin swimming since it's been too hot to do anything else. These next pics are hilarious.

Even though it's not Pioneer Day here we still feel like we need to celebrate it...a little soon.

Although, ruined the next day of course it's still fun to do.

Here in town they close off some of the streets and have a kid's day. There's not much to do and it's always hot, but Ayslin seems to love it.

We waited an hour to get Ayslin's face painted because Ayslin wanted to so badly. When she was done she had a huge smile on her face and I asked her if it was worth it...she said "no".

Next, we went to ribfest and had some delish food. Mostly Lynn though.

Us. For some reason I forget how big this girl has gotten and I always bend over thinking she won't be seen. I usually just look weird.

Then as if that wasn't enough for one weekend, we went camping.

She makes friends where ever she goes and made friends with a boy and was chasing him here.

Apparently, there a huge bull frogs here. We didn't go find any, but a little guy came through our camp. Lynn picked it up and of course it peed.

Lucky for us we put him down just in time for him to poop too. Sick.

Ayslin, not quite as brave as last year, but still ended up holding him.

Later we had a fire and sat under a beautifully star-lit sky with a view of this.

Outside of our house (we live in the right side of the two-story part). Sorry it was garbage day and we have more garbage than usual since we moved.

the 4th

Love this girl. She is so funny, she had to wear her "4th of July necklaces".

I love having a girl and doing her hair. Sometimes it's cute, sometimes it's weird, sometimes it's just funny, but I love it.

She is such a poser, it's hard to get a normal/natural picture of her, but it's fun to see her poses.

We ran into our some of our friends at our favorite place to eat and just had some lunch with them. (their little girl is so cute. She's eating a bread sandwich, her choice.) ;)

Then later we watched fireworks. I have to say some of these pictures are pretty cool compared to ones that I have gotten in the past.

Watching these I could imagine what it was like during a war, way back when, seeing artillery going off because it looked like they were coming out of nowhere. I kept wondering how they weren't lighting the trees on fire.

Am I right? Yes, it does look like those trees might start on fire any minute. Luckily, it rained earlier in the day?

Back at home, we did a few of our own. They seemed a far cry after watching the ones down by the river.

Lynn always looks funny in pictures unless I catch him off guard. Isn't supposed to be the other way around?

our trip

We went to Myrtle Beach with some of Lynn's family, but I didn't put any pictures of them up here since I'm not sure if they would have appreciated having their pictures up on the world wide web. This is Ayslin on our balcony of our hotel room we stayed in. One of the days we watched dolphins of sharks or something (from this balcony) attacking a whole school of fish until it was almost gone.

We went to Ripley's Aquarium one of the days. They had "real" mermaids and Ayslin was delighted to say the least. she Loved it because she has been playing/ drawing mermaids constantly.

I tried to get some photos of Ayslin on the beach, but I am no photographer. I think I maybe got one good one.

She loved finding pretty shells and they were hard to find big ones that were actually whole.

When we came home we went to a little place near by our house that we only discovered this year. We are ashamed that we lived here for three years and this is only the second time we have been here. We tried to go once before, but we ended up not being able to find it after some guy gave us wrong directions and Ayslin had to go potty and take a nap so we just went home.

It's amazing here!

our big storm back in May

I literally thought all the windows in our house would break and we were going to have a tornado, but we didn't. However, the storm did some damage to a lot of trees in the area, including the one in our back yard which by just a few inches missed hitting the trailer next to us. Our house was plastered in leaves afterward and our power and internet were out for almost two days while crews worked to clean up and get it back on.

Alright, I don't know how to use all the new settings on Blogger and posts might not be as lengthy, but there will be some. This summer is going to get really busy for us so posts will probably scant.
